Your study materials

Files are parsed in your browser. When you upload a PDF, PowerPoint, Word or text file, the file itself is read on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Extracted text is processed to make your guide. The text extracted from your file (or text you paste) is sent to our server and to our AI model provider solely to generate your study guide.
We do not store your source text. We do not keep the text of your materials after the guide is generated, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Saved guides. If you are signed in, the generated study guide (not your source text) is saved to your account so you can open it again. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address and profile picture when you sign up with email or Google.
Payment information: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage limits: to enforce the free daily limit without an account, we store a salted hash of your IP address and a random device identifier cookie, together with a daily counter.
Basic usage data: pages visited and technical information (browser, device) for security and to improve the service.

How we use information

To provide and improve the service, enforce fair-use limits, process payments, provide support, and keep the service secure.
