An AI study guide maker reads your class material — notes, PDFs, or slides — and organizes it into a study guide: an outline of the main topics, key concepts explained simply, a glossary, practice questions, and flashcards. Study Guide Maker also tags each point with the page it came from.
Yes. You can generate 2 study guides a day without an account. A free account adds 10 guides a month and a saved library. Paid plans unlock more guides, bigger files, and Deep mode.
PDFs (with selectable text), PowerPoint (PPTX), Word (DOCX), plain text files, and pasted notes. Scanned PDFs and photos of handwritten notes are not supported yet.
Yes — that's the most common use. Upload the file and each part of your guide will cite the page or slide number it came from.
A summary shortens the text. A study guide is built for testing yourself: it organizes topics, defines key terms, and adds practice questions and flashcards so you can check what you actually remember.
Yes. Export a print-ready PDF or an editable Word document. Flashcards can be exported as CSV for Anki or Quizlet.
Study Guide Maker builds the guide only from the material you provide and links each point to its page or slide so you can verify it. AI can still make mistakes, so check anything that looks off against your source — the page tags make that quick.
Yes. Teachers can turn slides or readings into a review guide with practice questions and an answer section. A dedicated fill-in-the-blank teacher mode is coming soon.
Your files are read in your browser; only the extracted text is sent to our servers to generate the guide. We don't store your original files, and we don't sell your data. Guides you save stay in your account until you delete them.
Making a study guide from your own class materials is studying, not cheating — you still have to learn and recall the material. Always follow your school's and teacher's rules on AI use, and never submit AI-generated work as your own where it isn't allowed.
