Nursing Study Guide Maker

Nursing courses pile up pathophysiology, pharmacology, skills labs and care plans at the same time. A useful nursing study guide separates what you need to recognize (cues and labs), what you need to do (priority actions and teaching), and what you need to recall precisely (drug classes, normal ranges, terminology).

Try an example:

Upload your lecture slides, a text-based PDF of the reading or syllabus packet, a Word handout, or paste your clinical notes. Study Guide Maker builds an outline of the topic, explains key concepts in plain language, writes a glossary, and adds practice questions and flashcards — each tagged to the page or slide it came from so you can check it against your source.

Choose the College level for most nursing programs. Make one guide per course topic (for example fluid and electrolytes, a medication class, or a body system) rather than one huge file for the whole semester. Pair guides with NCLEX-format practice from official or school-approved resources — this tool creates study guides from your materials; it does not recreate the NCLEX item formats.

What your study guide includes

Topic outline

Concepts in the order your lecture or reading covered them, with page or slide references.

Condition or concept summaries

Pathophysiology highlights, assessment cues, priority interventions and expected outcomes — drawn only from your source.

Medication tables

Drug class, action, key side effects, nursing considerations and client teaching when those details appear in your notes.

Glossary

Terms and abbreviations you need to use precisely.

Practice questions + answer key

Multiple choice and short answer with brief explanations.

Flashcards

Medications, lab values and terms; export as CSV.

How to make a study guide with AI in 3 steps

Cellular Respiration

Cellular respiration is how cells turn the chemical energy in glucose into ATP. It happens in three stages — glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain — and releases carbon dioxide and water as by-products.

  1. 1. Overview of cellular respiration

    • Overall equation: C6H12O6 + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP + heat).p. 1
    • Aerobic respiration needs oxygen and yields far more ATP than fermentation.p. 1
  2. 2. Glycolysis

    • Glucose is split into two pyruvate molecules in the cytoplasm, producing a net gain of 2 ATP and 2 NADH.p. 2
    • Glycolysis does not require oxygen.p. 2
  3. 3. Krebs (citric acid) cycle

    • Takes place in the mitochondrial matrix; each acetyl-CoA produces 3 NADH, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP and 2 CO2.p. 3
  4. 4. Electron transport chain

    • Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane; NADH and FADH2 donate electrons that pump H+ ions and drive ATP synthase.p. 4
    • Oxygen is the final electron acceptor and forms water.p. 4

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the NCLEX exam page?

No. This subject page is for nursing coursework in general. For exam-structure notes and Client Needs categories, see /exam/nclex and the official NCSBN test plans.

Can it read care-plan templates from Word?

Yes — upload a .docx or paste the text. The guide uses the text in the file; images and scanned handwriting are not read.

Will it invent drug doses?

The guide is instructed to use only your source. Always verify medications and doses against your textbook, drug guide or instructor materials using the page citations.

Is it free?

You can make 2 study guides a day without an account, or 10 per month after signing in with Google.
