ACT prep

ACT Study Guide Maker

The ACT is a standardized college-admissions exam. Official timing, sections and scoring are defined by ACT — confirm current details on ACT’s website rather than memorizing unofficial charts.

Study Guide Maker helps you organize the prep materials you already use: class notes, tutor slides, text-based PDF chapters or pasted review sheets. You get an outline, page-cited key concepts, a glossary, practice questions and flashcards you can export.

Build one guide per skill area from your own sources, then time yourself with official ACT practice.

How to use it for ACT prep

Guide from your materials

Upload the notes or PDFs you actually study from so citations stay meaningful.

Keep guides focused

Separate English conventions, math topics, reading strategies and science reasoning into different guides when your notes are long.

Official practice still matters

Use ACT’s official practice for real timing and item styles. We organize your notes; we do not host the official test.

How to make a study guide with AI in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Add your material

Upload a PDF, PowerPoint, Word or text file — or paste your notes.

  2. 2

    Get your guide

Study Guide Maker builds an outline, key concepts, glossary, practice questions, and flashcards, and tags every point with the page it came from.

  3. 3

    Study, print, or share

Quiz yourself right on the page, flip through flashcards, or export to PDF, Word and CSV.

Cellular Respiration

Cellular respiration is how cells turn the chemical energy in glucose into ATP. It happens in three stages — glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain — and releases carbon dioxide and water as by-products.

  1. 1. Overview of cellular respiration

    • Overall equation: C6H12O6 + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP + heat).p. 1
    • Aerobic respiration needs oxygen and yields far more ATP than fermentation.p. 1
  2. 2. Glycolysis

    • Glucose is split into two pyruvate molecules in the cytoplasm, producing a net gain of 2 ATP and 2 NADH.p. 2
    • Glycolysis does not require oxygen.p. 2
  3. 3. Krebs (citric acid) cycle

    • Takes place in the mitochondrial matrix; each acetyl-CoA produces 3 NADH, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP and 2 CO2.p. 3
  4. 4. Electron transport chain

    • Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane; NADH and FADH2 donate electrons that pump H+ ions and drive ATP synthase.p. 4
    • Oxygen is the final electron acceptor and forms water.p. 4

Frequently asked questions

Do you list official ACT section percentages here?

No. We avoid inventing blueprints. See ACT’s official student resources for current exam structure.

Can I paste notes from a prep app?

Is it free?

You can make 2 guides a day without an account, or 10 a month after signing in with Google.
