AP World History

AP World History Study Guide Maker

AP World History: Modern asks you to explain causation, comparison and continuity across regions — not only to memorize dates. Official unit weighting, exam format and free-response types are published by the College Board; use those documents for current exam structure rather than unofficial charts.

Try an example:

Study Guide Maker turns your class slides, text-based PDF readings, Word handouts or pasted notes into unit guides with page citations, a glossary, practice questions and flashcards. Choose the AP/IB level. Build one guide per unit or theme from your course materials, then practice with College Board free-response questions.

How to use it for AP World

One unit at a time

Upload the slides or reading for a single unit so themes stay clear.

Write comparison prompts into your notes

If your teacher emphasized a comparison, make sure that sentence is in the text you upload so practice questions can pick it up.

Check official CED / exam details

For unit weights and exam format, use the College Board AP World History materials. We do not invent percentages here.

How to make a study guide with AI in 3 steps

  1. 1

Cellular Respiration

Cellular respiration is how cells turn the chemical energy in glucose into ATP. It happens in three stages — glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain — and releases carbon dioxide and water as by-products.

  1. 1. Overview of cellular respiration

    • Overall equation: C6H12O6 + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP + heat).p. 1
    • Aerobic respiration needs oxygen and yields far more ATP than fermentation.p. 1
  2. 2. Glycolysis

    • Glucose is split into two pyruvate molecules in the cytoplasm, producing a net gain of 2 ATP and 2 NADH.p. 2
    • Glycolysis does not require oxygen.p. 2
  3. 3. Krebs (citric acid) cycle

    • Takes place in the mitochondrial matrix; each acetyl-CoA produces 3 NADH, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP and 2 CO2.p. 3
  4. 4. Electron transport chain

    • Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane; NADH and FADH2 donate electrons that pump H+ ions and drive ATP synthase.p. 4
    • Oxygen is the final electron acceptor and forms water.p. 4

Frequently asked questions

Do you list official AP World unit weights on this page?

No. Confirm unit weighting and exam format in the College Board course and exam description.

Can I upload a textbook chapter PDF?

Yes, if it is text-based and you have the right to use it. One chapter per guide works best.

Is it free?

You can make 2 guides a day without an account, or 10 a month after signing in with Google.
