GRE Study Guide Maker

The GRE General Test is a graduate-admissions exam administered by ETS. Official section content, timing and scoring are defined by ETS — check the official GRE site for the current format rather than relying on secondary summaries.

Study Guide Maker turns your prep notes, text-based PDFs, slides or pasted review lists into printable guides with citations, a glossary, practice questions and flashcards. It is a study aid for your materials, not a substitute for official GRE practice questions.

Make separate guides for verbal vocabulary from your lists, quantitative topics from your notes, and analytical writing outlines you drafted yourself.

How to use it for GRE prep

Upload your own lists and notes

Vocabulary decks and formula sheets you typed or saved as text work well; scanned books without a text layer do not.

Export flashcards

Export CSV flashcards for spaced repetition in the app you already use.

Confirm format with ETS

For official section names, timing and scoring, use ETS GRE materials. We do not invent exam weights here.

How to make a study guide with AI in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Add your material

Upload a PDF, PowerPoint, Word or text file — or paste your notes.

  2. 2

    Get your guide

Study Guide Maker builds an outline, key concepts, glossary, practice questions, and flashcards, and tags every point with the page it came from.

  3. 3

    Study, print, or share

Quiz yourself right on the page, flip through flashcards, or export to PDF, Word and CSV.

Cellular Respiration

Cellular respiration is how cells turn the chemical energy in glucose into ATP. It happens in three stages — glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain — and releases carbon dioxide and water as by-products.

  1. 1. Overview of cellular respiration

    • Overall equation: C6H12O6 + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP + heat).p. 1
    • Aerobic respiration needs oxygen and yields far more ATP than fermentation.p. 1
  2. 2. Glycolysis

    • Glucose is split into two pyruvate molecules in the cytoplasm, producing a net gain of 2 ATP and 2 NADH.p. 2
    • Glycolysis does not require oxygen.p. 2
  3. 3. Krebs (citric acid) cycle

    • Takes place in the mitochondrial matrix; each acetyl-CoA produces 3 NADH, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP and 2 CO2.p. 3
  4. 4. Electron transport chain

    • Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane; NADH and FADH2 donate electrons that pump H+ ions and drive ATP synthase.p. 4
    • Oxygen is the final electron acceptor and forms water.p. 4

Sample output for illustration.

Frequently asked questions

Do you publish official GRE section weights?

No. We do not invent blueprints. See ETS GRE information for official structure.

Can I make a guide from a quantitative review PDF?

Yes, if it is a text-based PDF you have the right to use. One chapter or topic at a time works best.

Is it free?

You can make 2 guides a day without an account, or 10 a month after signing in with Google.
